    Alexandra is one of the four Legal Assistants at Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP. She has been working at our office for a couple of months now. Alexandra provides support to our family and employment-based cases. Alexandra completed her Bachelor of Arts with cum laude honors from San Diego State University. She is originally from Germany and is a Naturalized Citizen of the United States. Alexandra has a high interest in migration studies, immigration and border politics, and specifically refugee/asylee immigration and resettlement.

  • Daisy

    Daisy is a Legal Assistant at Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP. Since joining the firm, she has primarily worked in supporting our employment-based cases. Daisy graduated from UC San Diego in 2018 with bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Spanish Literature. As the daughter of immigrants from Mexico, Daisy has always been interested in the topic of immigration. While at UCSD, she completed an honors thesis titled “Voces Migrantes: Representations of the Mexican and Central American Immigrant” that examined the political theme in literature. She recently completed her Paralegal Certificate at the University of San Diego this past spring.

    Mayra is the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants. She is one of the three Legal Assistants at Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP. Mayra began her journey at Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP through first-hand experience. She now works with our attorneys representing clients in a wide range of immigration matters including removal defense in immigration court, family-based petitions, and humanitarian remedies. She has been with Jacobs & Schlesinger for 7 years but continues to learn something new every day. She loves that her work provides her with the opportunity to make a positive difference in people's lives.

    Samantha is one of the six Legal Assistants at Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP.  She has been working for our office for a couple of months now.  Samantha provides support to our family and employment-based cases.  Samantha completed her Bachelor of Arts from the University of San Diego.  She currently attends the Paralegal Certification Program at the University of San Diego and is expected to graduate this summer.  Growing up in an immigrant community sparked Samantha’s interest in all immigration matters and the reunification of families.

    Daniela immigrated to the U.S. from Peru and recently became a permanent resident. She studied Applied Math and English Writing at UC San Diego and worked as part of the undocumented/DACAmented community for several years. Daniela is the Billing Specialist at the firm and hopes to one day become an attorney practicing immigration law. Her main goal is always to ensure that her parents' sacrifice to immigrate to the U.S. ends with her being a prime example that it was all worth it.

  • Jazmin

    Jazmin is the Office Manager at Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP. Both of her parent’s immigrated to the U.S. looking for a better future. Jazmin’s parents are agricultural workers in the Imperial Valley, and she considers their life story her inspiration to help others. Jazmin left her hometown to pursue her education and received her bachelor’s degree with cum laude honors from CSU San Marcos in 2017. In 2019, she received her Paralegal Certificate from the University of San Diego. She has been working for the firm since November 2017.

  • Jessica

    Jessica is the receptionist at Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP. She received her bachelor's degree with cum laude honors in Criminology and Justice Studies along with two minors, Spanish and Women's Studies, from Cal State San Marcos in 2018. Jessica is a native San Diegan and the proud daughter of Mexican immigrants. She personally enjoys working for a team who helps families remain together and informs individuals on the different opportunities they have available to them.

  • Lizeth

    Lizeth is a paralegal with Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP. An immigrant herself, she knows firsthand the challenges faced by the immigrant community and uses her bilingual skills and firsthand experience to help those in need to navigate the U.S. immigration system. Lizeth graduated from San Diego State University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Chicano Studies in 2009. She later went on to attend the University of San Diego ABA-approved Paralegal Program which she completed with honors in 2013. Lizeth first started with Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP as a paralegal intern in 2013 and became a full-time member of the team in September 2014. She has worked with different teams within the firm and currently works on employment- and family-based cases. Lizeth is passionate about helping the immigration community and enjoys volunteering at DACA and Naturalization workshops.

  • Lorena Lopez

    Lorena Lopez grew up in a small town outside of Mexico City before moving to the United States. She attended the National Polytechnic Institute of Mexico before moving to San Diego and receiving her Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from SDSU. Lorena brings many years of experience to the firm and feels very happy to have joined as the Financial Manager. She looks forward to continuing to grow with the team and being a great asset to the firm.

  • Perla

    Perla is the Legal Support Supervisor at Jacobs & Schlesinger LLP. She has been with the firm since March 2012. Perla is a San Diego native who graduated from UCLA. Besides supervising the Legal Assistants, she supports our family-based and appellate attorneys with their cases. She most enjoys being able to help families so they can remain in the U.S.
