Ileana Soto, Esq.

Associate Attorney, Immigration & Nationality Law

Ileana Soto received her J.D. Degree from California Western School of Law in 2016. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree with honors in Sociology – Law and Society from the University of California, San Diego, and a minor in Literatures of the World in 2013. While in undergrad, Ileana’s interest centered around migrant patterns in agricultural work and the social aspects of Hispanic migration in Central and Southern California. This focus continued throughout law school, where she took classes in both employment and immigration law to gain an in-depth understanding of how both areas of law intersect. Her passion for immigration law and policies sparks from deep personal experiences and a desire to advocate for those who seek immigration relief.

As a descendant of migrant workers, Ileana has always had a personal connection with the effects of immigration law and policy. In addition to her work with Jacobs & Schlesinger, Ileana has begun to volunteer her time to provide crucial knowledge to those who are unaware of their rights and have no access to important information. She hopes to continue her volunteer work with non-profit organizations in both the San Diego and Kern County areas.

Ileana handles a variety of cases including family-based, employment-based, petitions for U Nonimmigrant status under the Victims of Trafficking and Violence Protection Act, and asylum cases for foreign nationals from around the world.

Ileana is admitted to the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of California. She is fluent in Spanish.
