If you have not scheduled a consultation, please click here to be redirected to the scheduling page.

Before your Consultation

Please gather and organize any documents you think may be relevant to your case. Although the attorney may not review every document you bring to your consultation, having the documents available will allow you to get the most out of your meeting. Make sure to arrive (or call, if you have a phone or remote consultation) 10-15 minutes before your consultation. We require fully-completed intake forms (see below) for all consultations. In the case of a remote appointment, please fax or email your intake form to our office before the consultation begins.

Intake Form

Please use the button below to download an intake form. We ask that you complete this intake form before your appointment. You may email the completed form to, fax it to (619) 230-0044, or bring it with you to your appointment. If you are unable to complete it before your appointment we do ask that you arrive twenty minutes before your appointment to complete it.

Consultation Policy

Jacobs & Schlesinger offers consultations with licensed attorneys who, for 45 minutes to an hour, will evaluate your immigration matter using their honest perspective and experience. During a consultation, you can expect the attorney to seek a deep understanding of your background, concerns, and goals. The attorney will outline potential strategies, and provide information on probable timelines. Anything you discuss with our staff will be kept confidential and is protected by attorney-client privilege. We will not disclose anything you share with us without your permission.
If after a single consultation you believe you need additional information to move forward, we offer follow-up services to help you make your decision. Research time by a legal professional, as well as follow-up consultations, are available without retaining our firm for a full case.

Who you will meet with

You will meet with at least one Jacobs & Schlesinger attorney. We will try to accommodate consultation requests depending on attorney availability. If the attorney with whom you are scheduled cannot conduct your consultation, we will notify you as soon as possible.

After your consultation

Following your consultation, you may meet with our Office Manager to discuss how to move forward with our office based on your consultation. This meeting would include a full and honest discussion on any and all fees and obligations.
