Paulina Reyes

San Diego Associate Attorney

Associate Attorney

Paulina Reyes received her Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law in 2018, and her Bachelor degree in Criminal Justice and a Minor in Spanish from California State University, Long Beach in 2011. As an immigrant herself, Paulina has always had a passion for human rights and community service.

After undergrad, Paulina served as a JusticeCorps Graduate Fellow in the Los Angeles Superior Court Family Law Resource Center, helping low-income families file for dissolution, child custody, and restraining orders. Next, she worked for Catholic Charities of Los Angeles - Immigration and Refugee Program. In 2014, she became accredited by the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”) to provide legal services in family-based petitions, applications for naturalization, Refugee and Asylee adjustment of status, DACA, and other immigration benefits. As a BIA accredited representative, Paulina also collaborated with community-based organizations to host immigration informational sessions in Spanish (commonly known as “charlas”) and application-assistance workshops.

Because of her work with Catholic Charities, Paulina decided to pursue a law degree and moved to San Diego. During law school, Paulina continued to focus in immigration law and interned at various private immigration law firms and non-profit organizations, such as Casa Cornelia, Immigration Justice Project, and Southern California Immigration Project. Paulina was also co-chair of the school’s Immigration Law Society and earned an Academic Excellence Award in Immigration Law.

As an Associate Attorney, Paulina handles family- and employment-based cases, petitions for U nonimmigrant status, and asylum cases for foreign nationals from around the world. She wishes to continue working with vulnerable populations and enjoys learning about other cultures and languages.

Paulina is admitted to the State Bar of California and is licensed to practice law before the Supreme Court of California and the Department of Homeland Security nationwide. She is fluent in Spanish.
